UNDERWATER TREADMILL – The Companion Underwater Treadmill uses the physical properties of water so pets can receive hydrotherapy in a controlled, comfortable environment. Whether recovering from surgery, need to shed a few pounds or enhance their fitness level, the underwater treadmill allows you to tailor the therapy to a pet’s specific needs.
STANCE ANALYZER - Using the Companion Stance Analyzer takes lameness evaluations to the next level. By providing objective measurements, you will be able to see how a patient is shifting his or her weight in order to determine which limb, or limbs, are affected. Integrating the Stance Analyzer into every visit, may identify weight distribution changes early, allowing for earlier detection and better treatment outcomes.
COMPRESSION WRAP - The Companion Cold Compression device combines the effects of cryotherapy and intermittent compression in one simplified system. Frozen gel packs insert into adjustable wraps that are connected to a rechargeable pneumatic pump for icing muscles and joints while pumping oxygenated blood into the area and edema out.
PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP) & STEM CELL –Regenerative Therapies, including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) stem cell therapies, can be used for a wide range of conditions including: Osteoarthritis - Ligament Injuries - Tendon injuries - Burn Wounds - Open Wounds - Bone Grafts - Certain spinal conditions
--- Platelet Rich Plasma is an autologous (self-derived) conditioned plasma that contains a high concentration of platelets. Platelets contain numerous growth factors that facilitate tissue repair and healing. These growth factors are contained in the alpha granule portion of the cell and are released from the platelet when it is activated (usually at an area of injury).
--- Stem cells may be classified into two groups: embryonic and adult stem cells. We focus on adult stem cells. Adult stem cells are found in every tissue of the body including bone marrow, adipose tissue, skin and the liver. These cells have the ability to differentiate into any type of tissue under the appropriate circumstances and can additionally activate surrounding cells to aid in wound healing and tissue repair. Additionally, stem cells can also go through several cycles of cell division/ replication without differentiating into a specific tissue type.
